1. Instrument & Technique Collaborations involve CUREs where experimental approaches are extended to a technique specialist who performs experiments and supplies data (that would not otherwise be obtainable in a given CURE)- the technique specialist may be in the same or a different institution (for example a CURE at an institution without for example Circular Dichroism capability would collaborate with an CD Specialist and they would ship student generated samples to the instrument specialist who would run spectra and thermal melts and send back data- the instrument specialist would interact with the class on design of the experiments and interpretation of the data etc)
